About Cindy Hart

For more than four decades, I’ve expressed my passion for painting through watercolor. My journey began in childhood, when a perceptive school librarian noticed my early talent and encouraged me to join a class for aspiring artists. It was there that I discovered my enduring love for watercolors — a medium that continues to inspire me every day.

Painting has always felt like a natural extension of who I am. For years, I painted simply for the joy it brought me. Today, I’m sharing my work publicly for the first time through Watercolors by Cindy Hart, offering both limited and open edition fine art prints of my original pieces.

My artistic style stands apart from traditional watercolor approaches. I embrace bold, vibrant color as the defining feature of my work, layering transparent glazes rather than mixing pigments to create luminous, richly saturated hues. True to watercolor tradition, the white in my paintings comes from the paper itself, never from white paint.

Each painting is a celebration of color, light, and emotion — an invitation to experience joy and beauty through watercolor in a new way.
