About the Artist

 

Background
For more than four decades, I’ve expressed my passion for painting through watercolor. My journey began in childhood, when a perceptive school librarian noticed my early talent and encouraged me to join a class for aspiring artists. It was there that I discovered my enduring love for watercolor — a medium that continues to inspire me every day.

Painting has always felt like a natural extension of who I am. For years, I painted simply for the joy it brought me. Today, I’m sharing my work publicly for the first time through Watercolors by Cindy Hart, offering both limited and open edition fine art prints of my original paintings.

Artistic Approach
My work stands apart from traditional watercolor techniques through its emphasis on bold, vibrant color. I build luminous, richly saturated hues through layered transparent glazes rather than mixing pigments.

True to watercolor tradition, the white in my work comes from the paper itself, never from white paint.

Each painting is a celebration of color, light, and emotion — an invitation to experience watercolor in a more expressive and contemporary way.

My work is designed to bring energy and vibrancy into a space. The collection includes giclée prints on archival paper using pigment-based inks, along with poster prints, making the work accessible to both collectors and art enthusiasts.
